I alluded to this in my last post, and I’m excited to announce that my latest book, NextGen Steward, is now available in both Kindle and paperback formats on Amazon.
This project has been in the works for quite some time, pulling together over 60 articles I originally wrote for the NextGenSteward Substack platform, which have now been edited, reformatted, and organized into a single, practical resource (that’s 350 pages) for younger generations navigating the complexities of money, faith, and life (and that they can hold in their hands, if they want to).
(I’ve actually been surprised at the number of young Christians who say they like physical books. I do too—my problem is a lack of physical bookcase space after 50 years of acquiring books. I guess they’ll understand that one day if they keep buying physical books.)

You can also view the content that I originally published on Substack, which is now in “SmartDocs” on Retirement Stewardship HERE.
The book builds on the same biblical stewardship principles you’ve come to expect at Retirement Stewardship, but written with a next-generation audience in mind—young adults, early-career professionals, and families just getting started on their financial journey. I purposefully kept the prices on Amazon as low as possible to make this material available to as many as possible.
Here’s a snapshot of the Table of Contents to give you an idea of the topics I cover in the book:

With this book, I have published three that address the opportunities and challenges of young stewards (NextGen Steward), those in mid-life (Redeeming Retirement and Reimagine Retirement), and, of course, those near or in retirement (Reimagine Retirement). Plus, there’s the one that I wrote primarily for young pastors (The Minister’s Retirement).
I hope that some of you will read NextGen Steward yourself, but also that many of you will consider sharing it with your children, grandchildren, or others in your circle who might benefit from a gospel-centered perspective on money and stewardship that also gets very practical (and sometimes detailed) when needed.
Thanks for subscribing, reading, and sharing!
P.S. If you’re wondering “what’s with the goofy cartoon guy on the cover,” it’s because I used one in each chapter to add some lightness to an otherwise tedious and sometimes complex and dull subject. If you need someone to do an awesome cover design, let me know; “I gotta guy.”
